Where did the past two months go? Good grief. I've been such a bad blogger! Here's a little taste of this weekend's sewing.
I need to do a serious cleaning of my workroom. The first bin I picked up had a generous amount of coordinating fabric from a project I made for my niece YEARS ago. I had saved it with the plan to make a couple cuddle quilts. Both guilds I belong to donate kid quilts to worthy groups and I've been a bit neglectful in contributing, so I stitched together a couple quick tops. Part way through the first top, my everyday machine started acting up again. I finished both on old faithful, a 1939 Singer Featherweight. Here are the tops......
They both use up some cute cat fabric. Hopefully kid pleasers.
I also have an excess of 4 patch Leader and Ender units. I've been wanting to use them in a Bonnie Hunter pattern ....... Hopscotch Butterscotch ...... but added a fun twist today.
I participated in a 3.5" 9 patch swap recently. I used all the dark in the corner units in a version of her quilt Tumalo Trail. I'll try to post a photo of that one in the next day or so. I think I like using the light in the corner units in place of a 4 patch in the center. I'll make up a few more, then decide. Stay tuned.
